They laughed.
I launched.

A collage-style black and white photo of a woman holding a wine glass. Her face is partially hidden by a vintage computer monitor and keyboard, with the computer display reading "Y NOT BABES" repeated three times. Pink text over the image says "Y NOT" and a sarcastic phrase at the bottom says "they laugh we launch".

From “you can’t” to “just did”

When someone told me I couldn’t start a podcast, I laughed and said, “Y Not, Babes?”.

MEET YOUR babe

Hey cutie! I’m your host, the babes behind the mic, and your digital bestie. I’m a creative, a little chaotic, and a lot unapologetic. The show was born during a casual conversation when I told somebody that I wanted to launch a podcast (Truthfully, at the moment it kind of slipped and wasn’t actually planning on doing it—not yet at least). The reaction was nothing shy from negative and discouraging. I could have let that person make me feel small and inadequate. But instead, that moment inspired a spark, within. It was the unexpected nudge that I needed to do this thing. Not out of petty, not to prove a point but merely because I know what I am capable of. And I will never let anyone tell me otherwise. My voice is my superpower and it’s time we challenge the “you can’t” narrative—one mic drop at a time.
